spill tab and JAWNY's Magnetic Chemistry Proves Unmatched on  "Grade A"

spill tab is undeniably an artist to watch. Born in Bangkok and now based in LA, her idiosyncratic brand of forward-thinking anti-pop draws from a myriad of sights, sounds, emotions, and life experiences to create a kaleidoscopic sonic collage. And on her latest single, "Grade A," spill tab joins forces with  JAWNY to deliver a single that sees both artists leveraging each other's respective talents to reach newfound heights.

Short and sweet, "Grade A" wastes no time in building up its infectious momentum. Juxtaposing spill tab's soft-spoken, ethereal vocals that speak to unrealistic portrayals of love with a driving undercurrent that pulls from drum'n'bass, indie rock, and alternative, "Grade A" sees spill tab at the top of her game. It's an otherworldly lull that only wavers to make room for JAWNY's trademark frenetic delivery, which moves at a mile-a-minute and provides a welcomed shake-up without sacrificing the distinctive atmosphere of the track.

On the making of the track, spill tab shares, "This track really came together over the course of several months, I started it with Spencer over a Zoom session we had where we laid down the drums, bass and vocals. It made its way to Jawny’s camp, and he ended up wanting to hop on which was absolutely unreal for me ‘cause I’d been a huge fan for a while. He gave this song a whole new life and energy and his verse goes so crazy, and Marinelli brought everything together while we were finishing it up. It was also an insanely fun video to shoot, everything from A to Z has been such a dream with this tune."

While spill tab is no stranger to guest spots, having recently linked with Tommy Genesis on "Indecisive," "Grade A" marks JAWNY's first feature in quite some time. "I haven't accepted a request to do a feature in over two years now because I can’t write to a song/instrumental unless I love it which makes me picky even when I don't want to be. This song hit me just right from the first moment I heard it. The rest followed. Claire is an extremely talented songwriter, producer, and vocalist and I'm happy this song brought us closer together as homies after having to sit inside for a year not crossing paths with each other. Run this sh*t up," shares JAWNY.

The new single arrives before spill tab hits the road for a series of shows with Gus Dapperton and JAWNY this fall and is accompanied by a music video that captures all the magnetic chemistry of the two artists.
