"READY OR NOT," Stevedreez Returns With an Insatiable New Single

Stevedreez is bringing the soft groove renaissance home with his latest single “READY OR NOT,” a sultry serenade to ease us out of summer and into cuffing season.

An intergalactic ride through rhythm and pleasure, “READY OR NOT” is the dreamy ballad every lover needs right now. The Virginia-based artist has mastered the art of swoon, landing him a fitting spot on Spotify’s Soultronic playlist. A Saturday night roller-skate ride, a slow dance at prom, this song will take you back to sweet memories you’ve never made and excite you for ones yet to come.

The lovechild of Majid Jordan and Sade, Stevedreez’s silky vocals are captivating. He’s doing something many in the chillwave arena aren’t, finding a way to honor the timeless sound of groove while still making it something completely new.

Produced alongside Jazen Saga, its VHS-esque visuals pair with the song beautifully, with a dapper Stevedreez serenading while strumming under disco lights. It’s a timeless video for a timeless sound, and as “READY OR NOT” proves, time should never stand in the way of mining lust into love.

There’s something enigmatic about Stevedreez, like he’s only a visitor to our dimension. As we await his next full-length project, we can assume it’ll take us a few light years to catch up to his vision anyway.
