Stoop Lee Captures a Carefree Vibe on  "Flintstones" [Premiere]

At the top of the year, we took to our Instagram to ask you which artists we should be keeping an eye out for in 2022; leaving over two thousand comments, y'all certainly did not disappoint. And one artist you brought directly to our attention was none other than stoop lee.

Hailing from Detroit, Michigan, stoop's music captures all the childhood nostalgia of running out of bed on a carefree morning to fill your stomach with sugary cereal and your soul with a treasure trove of Saturday morning cartoons. It's an unburdened sense of nostalgia backed by effortlessly infectious beats equally inspired by J Dilla as they are Kanye West. The latest result of this sun-soaked fusion arrives in the form of a live rendition of his standout single "flintstones."

The live performance perfectly captures the laid-back joy of creating music with a tight-knit group of friends. Featuring stoop trading verses over neo-soul production that comes to life in its newfound live setting, it's nigh impossible not to get swept up in the idyllic vibe on display. This is music to soundtrack your golden Saturday mornings, no matter where or when you find yourself.

Adding on bringing the standout single to a live setting, stoop shares, "This song and live performance is so special to me because it's really an homage to one of my biggest musical inspirations: the Soulquarians. The music that they created in the late 90's and early 00's truly felt like a bunch of friends organically jamming and great music just happened to come out of these sessions. This live performance is a full-circle moment for me because that's exactly what we did."
