Inspired by the passing of her close friend, this song shares her raw emotional journey during an especially dark time. This song has lived with me for a while now...long before I knew it would ever be released. I started writing Blessings right after I found out one of my close friends had passed away. It was one of those moments that shakes your entire understanding of life, how someone so full of energy, laughter, possibility can be here one minute and gone the next. It put so much into perspective for me. Our time here is frighteningly fleeting, no matter how alive we feel."
She continued to say about the track, "Blessings became my way of holding on to the light. It reminded me that even in the darkest moments, there are things worth anchoring yourself to the people you love, the moments that make you pause, the chances to show gratitude before everything changes."
