Tamera Counts Her "Blessings" On Uplifting New Single

London-based indie darling Tamera has blessed fans with the aptly titled, beautifully vulnerable track, "Blessings." Inspired by the passing of her close friend, this song shares her raw emotional journey during an especially dark time. Tamera fuses her fierce R&B stylings with the might of a gospel choir, creating a sonic experience that is both euphoric and reflective, encouraging listeners to treasure life and stay hopeful.

Over the soulfully powerful, piano-laden production, Tamera sings about the trials and tribulations she has endured to receive the blessings she currently has. The gospel choir elements amplify the song's spiritual depth while she embodies this freedom in her smooth, beautiful vocals. On the chorus as layers of beats join the fold of the moving production, she proclaims to the world, "You know I gotta count my blessings / Not everybody get to wake up in the morning / So I count my blessings / I seen my brothers and sisters falling so I get up / Learned my lesson / Thankful for what I got / But I still get tested sometimes," reminding any who listen that even in our darkest moments, there is still light and things to be immensely grateful for.

Tamera shared in a statement "It was a long road to get this song out but it's finally here and I'd like the personally thank everyone involved in this l wonderful process. This song has lived with me for a while now...long before I knew it would ever be released. I started writing Blessings right after I found out one of my close friends had passed away. It was one of those moments that shakes your entire understanding of life, how someone so full of energy, laughter, possibility can be here one minute and gone the next. It put so much into perspective for me. Our time here is frighteningly fleeting, no matter how alive we feel."

She continued to say about the track, "Blessings became my way of holding on to the light. It reminded me that even in the darkest moments, there are things worth anchoring yourself to the people you love, the moments that make you pause, the chances to show gratitude before everything changes."

The accompanying music video is a minimalist yet impactful black-and-white visual that matches the single's soulful energy. Standing alone in a white, bare set, the stark environment allows Tamera to shine as she sings to the camera, delivering a profound and uplifting performance for the record.

The new single will feature on Tamera's upcoming EP, UNDENIABLE, which the artist described as a declaration of "resilience, self-love, and faith in divine timing". After time away from the industry to focus on herself, UNDENIABLE marks her most spiritually aligned work to date, a reflection of the woman she's become: intentional, grounded, and free.
