We May Have the Hottest Song of the Summer with Ashley Mehta´s “Heat”

Ashley Mehta has had a fantastic 2025, she went on tour with Emei and has already released three amazing singles that are setting her Mehtaverse up for success. That's right – the “H” is very important.

With her latest release “Heat," we should have all seen the signs that something boiling hot was coming. I mean, she did warn us that things were heating up when she released her single “Simmer” back in May and today, she grants us that much needed spice.

“Heat” is exactly the kind of track that we all need in our summer playlists, it's enjoyable, fun and easy to listen to. A stylisitc mix of Lauv's “I Like Me Better” and “Another Life” by Surf Mesa ft. FLETCHER, this song feels like the soundtrack to that one rom-com scene where everything is finally blissful and perfect.

With a history of posting amazing covers on YouTube and being featured on several EDM tracks, Ashley has a way of blending genres in all of her songs. "HEAT" is no different. Starting with hard drums and dancey electronic pulses, Ashley Mehta captures a crisp blend of R&B and pop in her voice. She sings, “I want your body on mine,” before a distorted background voice repeats it back to her, adding some playfulness to the song.

The accompanying visualizer to the song shows Ashley rocking knee-high latex-y boots and outfit, whilst dancing in a room that has that warm sauna-like wood, because this is a song that is meant to be steamy and sexy. If anything this song makes you embrace the idea of having a fun summer where you find yourself “Caught In the Heat."
