Self-described as "ya aunty's favorite boy band," Weston Estate is back to break your heart with their new single, "Petra." The track sees the North Carolina-based quintet, a group of seasoned musicians including guitarist Srikar Nanduri, co-vocalists Manas Panchavati, Tanmay Joshi, and Marco Luka, and producer and bassist Abhi Manhass, delve into the complex theme of toxic infatuation and the eventual heartache that comes with it.

The track "Petra" starts on a mellow note, opening with glowy, summery guitar riffs, rich bass grooves, and twinkling synths flitting in the background. The group ushers listeners into a vibrant and vulnerable world full of lush soundscapes and heart-aching lyricism that resonates with a palpable emotional depth. As the song progresses, they paint a picture of love found and lost, coming to a head in the rich chorus as they belt over the fresh instrumentation, "Well I found my, peace of mind, baby in you / Tell me is there something you do now / It's only you, you." The lyrics delve into the complexities of love and heartbreak, inviting listeners to reflect on their own experiences.

Weston Estate shared about the track, "Petra explores the idea of finding solace, or yourself, in another person in a way that is not healthy or genuine for either party."

The new offering from Weston Estate is a captivating continuation of their musical journey, following their 2023 release "Slowly." This soft R&B-infused track weaves elements of sultry bedroom pop, showcasing their unique blend of the velvety smoothness reminiscent of early-day Frank Ocean and the distinctive interlocking vocals akin to BROCKHAMPTON.
