Fergus James is a name you might not already know but one you should definitely put on your radar. This up-and-coming Aussie artist has a sound that is readily familiar but still has a tinge of the novel.James' new single "Good Man" is everything you've been looking for, whether you knew it or not.

Co-written with Nat Dunn, produced by Frequency, and mixed by Spike Stent, James made sure he acquired an allstar team to bring you the best possible jam he could. Feeling creatively exhausted beforehand, James entered the writing session with just a guitar riff in mind, and the rest flowed out naturally. He reminisces on the experience, sharing,

"Heading into this writing session I was feeling creatively exhausted and out of ideas, all I had was the opening guitar riff. But sitting in a granny flat in downtown LA with Nat, who is so creative and warm, we were able to bounce off each other's shared ideas and experiences to build the sonic story you hear today."

The song tells the story of James striving to be the best person he can possibly be in the face of a harsh reality. The inspiring lyrical work is accompanied by an addictive guitar riff that is carried throughout the whole song. The simple beat that claps remains a focal point is what really brings it all together. It allows the song to stay within that Top 40 criteria without becoming overbearing or too predictable.   With "Good Man," James is on the road to becoming the next big Aussie pop artist.
