Zacari Drops  "Edamame" and a Rendition  of Kate Bush's  "This Woman's Work"

Zacari is certainly no stranger to the digital pages of Ones to Watch. The Bakersfield, California raised singer-songwriter has captivated us for years, solidifying himself as an act to not only watch with diligence but to marvel at as we continue to hear his sound evolve through constant exploration. His tender brand of pop-infused R&B shines with lighthearted sentiments, while delving into complicated matters of the heart that ultimately are presented with beauty and grace.

The multi-faceted instrumentalist's newly released singles, "Edamame" and  "This Woman's Work," carry with them the same R&B sentiments that have been bolstered since his previous outings. This marks the Top Dawg Entertainment signee's first release since sharing his seven-track album Run Wild back in March of last year. Although his new singles do reside in the same sonic world as his previously released album, "Edamame" showcases a ballad-like quality that is draped by overwhelming romanticism, while "This Woman's Work" sees him taking on Kate Bush.

The new original single, "Edamame," is texturized by steady driving production, comprised of pulsating drum patterns and euphoric chime-like melodies. Zacari relishes in complete transparency for his unwavering and frankly unprecedented love. The story-like narrative weaved by the croon-centric singer paints a vivid picture of how unfathomable his newfound infatuation is and how that unbelievability ripples into the rest of his world.

In short, the “Edamame" and  "This Woman's Work" from Zacari can be surmised by their memorability and emotional force. The two new singles arrive ahead of a soon-to-be-released project soon entitled, Live From the R&B Underground. If his latest releases are any indication of the kind of sound we should expect from his upcoming project, I think it is safe to say we will be waiting at the edge of our seats.
