ADÉLA Shares Her Own Pop Star Story in "SUPERSCAR"

Rising pop star ADÉLA may have first proved her potential while competing on the survival show Dream Academy and in the documentary Pop Star Academy, but she continues to show her limitless potential with her sophomore single, "SUPERSCAR." The song is a thought-provoking commentary on what the entertainment industry demands from young talent, drawing from her experiences with dance, music, and more.

The single is deliciously catchy, with intoxicating pop beats leading the charge as ADÉLA croons, "Tap, tap your stiletto / Pretty girl, go on and cause a scene / Prove how bad you need it / Put on a show for me." She grapples with the realization that as an up-and-coming hot commodity, there's no shortage of people who will want a hand in her career, and she initially allows them all to "touch" and mold her into whoever they want her to be. In the explosive chorus, she fully gives herself over, singing, "Tie me up / Pull my strings and make me sing... Bite my tongue / What you need, come take from me... / Tell me just how far / Push right past the bar / Cut right 'round my heart/ Superscar."

The accompanying music video, directed by the rising star in collaboration with likeromeo and Miguel Zárate, is a campy yet brutal visual that follows her journey as a superstar, starting off in an audition room among other versions of herself and selling her soul and sexuality for success. Starting off in glittering, bubblegum pink dance sequences and adored by fans on TV, she soon finds herself coming apart at the seams as the industry pulls her apart, quite literally in the choreography, and pushes her to her limits.

"SUPERSCAR" follows the success of her debut single, "HOMEWRECKED," a fiery first release inspired by her father's affair and dealing with the betrayal of her mother at a young age. Raw and unyielding, it seems ADÉLA is crafting a breakout pop story for the ages.
