Genre-blending artist Almondmilkhunni calls out fake friends in her latest single, "fake deep," an intoxicating blend of R&B aesthetics and hyperpop sonics. The track continues the Philly native's streak of creating innovative, endorphin-rush-inducing music that speaks her mind and touches our hearts.

"fake deep" opens with Almondmilkhunni's iridescent vocals layered over catchy guitar strums and spacey synths to create a sound that feels futuristic but with a splash of early noughts nostalgia. She serves the source of her boredom and disdain with a shot of honesty, singing to them, "Swear that you're so sensitive / But really you're just another narcissist / I'm already bored of calling you out / And hating the sound / Of hearing you go there and letting you down / Swear that you're so delicate."

As the track builds, the rising star continues to read right through their target, saying that without all their bullshit, they'd be nothing and that if her life depended on them being truthful, she'd probably be dead. The song launches into a beautifully biting chorus that further calls out people who are "fake deep" and blatantly asks the question, "don't you wanna be real for once in your life?" while almondmilkhunni's soothing vocals, sleek and shining beats, and percussion blend into a cloud of sound that envelops the listener.

"fake deep" follows the release of her previous single, "MISS U," a lovesick anthem that blends R&B and hyper-pop into a smooth and rich sonic experience.
