Although he just released his first single earlier this year, Evan Konrad is most definitely a name you won't want to forget. The alternative singer-songwriter from Abbotsford, Canada spent his childhood surrounded by the music industry–with his mother being a performer and his father acting as a front-of-house engineer and videographer. By the age of 20, Konrad found himself in the studio crafting a unique sound that's story-driven and theatrical, as we can hear in his brilliant new single, "Come On Snake, Let's Rattle."

A timeless tale of denial, "Come On Snake, Let's Rattle" narrates the menacing story of an egotistical snake who has total control of the sheep around him, so his greed and darkness is evoked even more so. With an even balance of orchestral elements and modern production, "Come On Snake, Let's Rattle" incorporates moody synths and booming percussion that shape the inkiest of energies. With this being Konrad's sophomore single, we're more than ready to hear what else this eerie rocker has in his impressive arsenal of radio-ready hits.

On "Come On Snake, Let's Rattle," Evan Konrad reflected,

"'Come On Snake, Let's Rattle' is an ego battle at its core. A portrayal of a person too far gone to come back. The lyrics act as his personal introduction to you, a tour of his world, and together you explore this place for his debauchery. When I was writing the song, I would see this person in a beautiful cocktail lounge, full of elegant and fashionable people whom he could mold and control as he wished, obeying his word–almost as if they were an extension of himself. On the surface he is a walking statement of obsessive self-consumption, but as the song moves into its finale, he begins to show a deeper sadness to his character, a vulnerability. I want you to feel a warmth coming through his exterior, like a genuine smile before he ultimately turns on you too."
