Banshee Conjures a Fantastical Electropop World in 'FABLES'

Banshee returns with FABLES, a kaleidoscopic journey further expanding the otherworldly universe she has meticulously crafted. Following up BIRTH OF VENUS, the experimental producer has woven an ever-evolving tapestry of sound across the 12-track project, truly immersing her audience in a dimensional listening experience that further unfolds with each track. 

“I’m a never forgive kinda girl” arrives as a highlight of the project, flipping the script on post-breakup anthems. The just over two-minute track is an effervescent burst of energy and sharp lyricism, with a chorus that hits hard with a hauntingly cautionary message, “One day you’ll come crawling back / Like the little rat that you are / One day you will learn I’m a never forgive kinda girl.” We then transition into the futuristic “BACKSTABBER,” a slinky love letter to '90s techno rave that alchemizes self-liberation. The album also includes a reimagining of Mariah Carey’s “Obsessed,” which transforms the iconic track into a slowed-down ballad that feels timeless and refreshing. 

FABLES is a reflection of Banshee’s visionary, genre-defying sound. Through a seamless blend of vulnerability, fantastical world-building and ethereal production, the producer isn’t just making music, she is crafting a world unto her own, establishing herself as a visionary innovator in the future landscape of music.
