TikTok-favorite bludnymph is wasting no time putting 2023 in a headlock, as this month the young singer-songwriter returns with her newest single “Lights Out.” It’s been a minute since we last heard from the burgeoning pop talent, as while bludnymph last graced fans with “Press It” from the Fast & Furious: Drift Tape/Phonk Vol 1 in December, her last formal single “Mozart” dropped almost four months ago. Featuring production by Cirkut himself, “Lights Out” is a powerful and unapologetic banger that sounds like bludnymph never left.

To the uninitiated, “Lights Out” may be the perfect starting point for those unfamiliar with bludnymph’s sinister and forward-thinking take on electro-pop mayhem. Keen on making a lasting first impression, “Lights Out” boldly asks the question: What if Billie Eilish was cast in the next Step Up film? Dulcet vocal harmonies effortlessly flow alongside pulsating bass signals and pounding percussion to create an inspired and refreshing take on pop music. Between bludnymph’s seasoned vocal style and Cirkut’s time-tested affinity for production, “Lights Out” is the pop banger you never knew you wanted (until now of course).
