Briston Maroney Unveils the Stirring “Paradise,” Announces Paradise Festival

What’s better than a new single from Nashville singer, songwriter, and guitarist Briston Maroney? Well, a new single, music video, and music festival for starters. 

“Paradise” arrives as the latest stirring single from Maroney and also shares its name with the two-night music festival that Maroney will be curating, headlining, and presenting with local charities and organizations. Set to take place at the Brooklyn Bowl Nashville on November 3 and 4, Paradise Festival will feature performances from Indigo DeSouza, The Greeting Committee, Sunflower Bean, Annie DiRusso, Cece Coakley, and MICHELLE.

As for the single itself, “Paradise” marks the first release from Maroney since the release of Sunflower: Deluxe, a deluxe version of his 2021 full-length debut album. The new track arrives just in time for summer, racing forward with an unbridled sense of optimism, evoking the very essence of carpe diem. “How easy would it be the put the nine-to-five behind / A sandcastle royalty and seven seas of heaven shinin’ / Don’t you find a calming world a little scared to dive in / Might sing but imagine if we end up swimmin’,” sings the Nashville artist against his trademark warm, dynamic instrumentation. 

The accompanying music video, directed by Joey Brodnax, adopts the same sun-drenched orange and yellow hues the song conjures as Maroney and company jam out in an open field against an array of technicolor LED screens. “Paradise” feels like an apt reminder to live life to its fullest, put your all into love, and carve out your own little paradise on this giant ball of rock that is hurdling through space.
