CARR Is Truly Unfiltered On New Single "Hardcore!" | THE NOISE

CARR reminds listeners to never dull their sparkle with her latest single, "Hardcore!" The new track is the sonic equivalent of cathartically screaming in your car, boasting fast, messy, loud production that wraps heartbreak and hunger into one explosive alt-pop anthem. This marks the first taste of her upcoming album due early 2026, and if this is anything to go by, we're in for a beautifully chaotic ride. A little sarcastic, a little self-aware, and totally unstoppable, it's a release that's perfectly CARR.

From the start, the track is driven by punchy guitars and biting guitar riffs, adding to this pure emotional release. CARR's voice dances between sweet and sarcastic, offering moments of pure vulnerability, and then serving moments that are thoroughly and deliciously unhinged. The chorus erupts with passion as she belts, "I like it when you're with me/ Spin me up and make me dizzy/ Give me something! Give me more!/ Can you handle that I'm so hardcore?" It's the kind of song you blast on repeat when you're done pretending you're okay with being "chill." Because let's be honest, being chill is overrated.

"'Hardcore!'" is about someone I was seeing who just wasn't giving me enough," shared the singer-songwriter. "I crave relationships that are fast, messy, and all-consuming - and with him, I started to wonder if maybe I was just too much."

CARR's rise has been as raw and honest as her music. After moving to LA, she started working nights at a studio and jumped on the boards with friends when the place was empty, experimenting for fun. That DIY drive led her straight to Pete Wentz and Spencer Smith's DCD2 Records, where her brutally honest songwriting found the spotlight it deserved. Since then, she's played with the likes of Fall Out Boy, Bring Me the Horizon, Hot Mulligan, Highly Suspect, and Jimmy Eat World, while also lighting up stages at When We Were Young Fest and Emo Nite LA. Her journey is a testament to the power of authenticity and passion in the music industry.
