Catch Your Breath Wrestle With Hypocrisy On Heavy New Single "No Evil" | THE NOISE
Texas four-piece hard rock band Catch Your Breath is sharing their furiously unrelenting new track "No Evil." The single features a plethora of heavy rhythms, breakdowns, and poppy choruses amidst verses of screaming aggression that pack a solid punch into its two-and-a-half-minute run time.
On "No Evil," the band takes listeners on an enraged journey, tackling topics like gaslighting, bigotry, and the shortcomings of modern society. With seamlessly blended chaotic-pop melodies and impassioned aggression behind a wall of screams, the music radiates a catchiness that thrives against blankets of angst, taking the listener on a rollercoaster of emotion. The lyrics are full of haunting visions of hypocrisy built on what can be challenged by the modern worldview.
"We see a lot of hate, bigotry, and discrimination from a group of people who love to preach the opposite," says the band about the new single. "They love to target our friends in different communities while simultaneously turning a blind eye to their own who commit the worse offenses. We went back to our heavier side for a song like this and want to let all our friends and supporters know in these communities that always get targeted by hate, we see you and stand strong with you."
The accompanying music video is an equally aggressive thrill ride. The opening scene sees a nun staring into the light of a candle before quickly cutting to the band performing the song in a dilapidated warehouse. Viewers watch as the nun prays and meets with a priest, to who she hands a glass of wine. Unfortunately, the priest makes the realization that the wine has been poisoned. As he grasps for the last moments of his life, the nun prays over him and leaves him to die.
The release follows the success of the band's last single, "Dial Tone." The track illuminates an addictive sound with distinctive guitar tones and strong vocals. The band is currently recording their debut album with Curtis Martin, which should be out in late 2023. In addition, fans can see the band on tour supporting Falling In Reverse, Ice Nine Kills, Our Last Night, Slaughter To Prevail, and Crown The Empire.
