Connection is an essential aspect of the human experience. The intangible desire to connect with others and the world around us manifests in a number of ways, and that desire for connection continues to evolve as we find ourselves on who knows what day of quarantine.

"living virtually," the latest single from bedroom pop savant chloe moriondo, is a unique byproduct of our current reality. In a bittersweet acoustic number, the rising star captures the endless monotony and anxiety of quarantine and explores what it means to live virtually.

"living virtually" fittingly features moriondo on the floor of her bedroom, propped up in front of her closet strumming away at her acoustic guitar. It is a sight that is not novel for an artist who found her start on YouTube, carving out an avid fanbase from her bedroom one wistful single and cover at a time. Yet, in light of an unprecedented pandemic and quarantine, the simple gesture takes on a newfound universal light. moriondo spoke further on the new single, sharing,

"'living virtually' is a product of isolation that a lot of people are experiencing right now. I wrote this song with my new friend Bayli based off our conversations about how life has been for both of us in our different lives. I felt like 'living virtually' was fitting because it feels like that's essentially what we do - we're afraid to speak and leave our rooms to begin with, and especially now."

The new single is currently streaming on moriondo's YouTube page alongside a fundraiser to benefit the National Independent Venue Association (NIVA) and #SaveOurStages' ongoing mission to preserve and nurture the ecosystem of independent live music venues and promoters throughout the United States in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
