Dreamer Boy Makes the Desert His Dance Floor in "Falling for the Wrong One" Video [PREMIERE]

Zach Taylor, more popularly known as Dreamer Boy, is bringing us some indie desert magic in the week leading up to Coachella. The Nashville-based artist is chasing his debut album Love, Nostalgia with a delightfully candid video filmed at Joshua Tree during sunset. Most recently hitting the stage at SXSW, Dreamer Boy has opened for the likes of indie rockers Still Woozy, Omar Apollo and The Maràas. His video for "Falling for the Wrong One" was filmed in one take, a mere half an hour before Dreamer Boy's performance with The Maràas at the iconic rustic desert spot Pappy and Harriet's.

Taylor appears alongside his roommate and producer Bobby Knepper in the video, both clad in cowboy hats and dancing freely around a lone tree. Directed by Adam, the video is reflective of Dreamer Boy's overall appeal-shimmering with synth, playfully energetic, and soft in delivery. Though the video is one shot, every moment feels purposeful, mistakes and candid moments included. Between improvised dance moves, the Nashville artist sings,

"Falling for the wrong one, it’s not me, it’s you. Picking up the pieces, break your heart in two."

Dreamer Boy cuts the heavy production from his visual, choosing to communicate the unbridled joy of dancing in the desert at sunset over the gloss and lack of intimacy of a conventional music video.
