Gully Boys Celebrate Debut Album Release With Sassy “Big Boobs” Music Video | THE NOISE

Minneapolis quartet Gully Boys have capped off the release of their self-titled debut album, Gully Boys, with the release of their sassy new single and video, "Big Boobs." The track is a gut-wrenching snapshot of life for the four best friends, and features a brilliant verse from rapper-producer Zora.

True to the spirit of the band, the delightfully petty banger is anything but subtle. Biting and hilariously self-aware, the verses tackle multiple key issues in one full swoop, like queer experiences and gender stereotypes. On the infectious chorus, the four-piece confront their group’s haters with expert-level precision, delivering scathing lines like, “How’s the VIEW from the back of the room/ Because you think you’re TOO COOL to jump in and let loose,” and “Babe it’s a one side feud/ You just can’t execute/ I think the issue is you.”

"Collaborating with Zora was so special because we're total fans of her and her work," Gully Boys says. "In a music climate where there's an emphasis on 'curating a vibe' or 'being cool', Zora has this really free, expressive, often sexy, sometimes campy, always effortless way of creating that's incredibly refreshing."

The accompanying music video is a righteously queer video full of show-stopping moves, attitude, and bold colors. The band gives an electrifying performance to the camera that shows off their fierce bond, and their collaboration with Zora, who also stuns in the video, lands like a cheeky, audacious face smack, pushing the track's explosive sound even further to the visual plane.

Grounded in a bond as fierce as their sound, Gully Boys’ electrifying live performances have earned them spots on festival stages and tours alongside Nova Twins, Motion City Soundtrack, Destroy Boys, Bad Bad Hats, and more

The band’s debut album, which hosts other standout tracks like “Mother," "Love Me 2," and "Murderapolis,” sees Gully Boys transform across ten tracks from DIY darlings to an absolute force of grit and melodic punch. The whole record is a full-body experience from start to finish, showing off a band completely unafraid to set and call out boundaries, and protecting what matters most, and that’s your friends, your home, and your identity.
