Jack Gray Treats Us to Soothing Piano Melodies in "Take Our Time" [PREMIERE]

At only 20 years old, Australian singer-songwriter Jack Gray has perfected an enthralling fusion of organic instrumentation and dynamic electronic synthesis with his alternative pop music. Growing up in the small mining town of Mackay, Queensland, Gray became inspired to play drums in high school after watching his father do the same in a local pub band. Gray eventually moved to Brisbane, where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Music and taught himself how to produce music on amateur recording programs. Now, Gray is giving us another taste of his forthcoming EP Nights Like This with the serene "Take Our Time."

As showcased in "Take Our Time," Jack Gray is widely known for writing about relationships, depression, and addictions in an inviting, conversational manner. This stunning track particularly deals with Gray being away from his loved ones, as the aspiring artist just recently moved to Los Angeles. With this relocation, comes a painful sense of disconnect from those he had to physically separate himself from, so Gray suggests that we should appreciate the special people in our lives to the fullest whenever the sparse opportunity presents itself. Layered with captivating electronics and angelic vocals, "Take Our Time" ironically leaves us feeling impatient as Gray gears up for the highly-anticipated release of Nights Like This.

On "Take Our Time," Gray spoke on the single, exclusively sharing with us,

"'Take Our Time' is a song about dealing with life’s transitions. Just about the time all my friends were getting ready to head off to university, I had an opportunity to go on the road and start playing live shows around Australia, which was a dream come true for me. I had met someone, as you do, just before I hit the road. Those first couple of weeks touring were really tough. Long distance relationships suck. I started to notice all my friends starting to struggle with the same balancing act, and so 'Take Our Time' was born."

Before Gray unveils his forthcoming EP  Nights Like This on May 31,  take a breather with your first listen of "Take Our Time" below:
