Kellin Quinn Debuts Atmospheric Single Alongside Launch Of Solo Project Haunted Mouths | THE NOISE
Following a monumental 2024 celebrating the 15th anniversary of Let's Cheers To This, Sleeping With Sirens frontman Kellin Quinn is stepping out into new territory with the launch of his solo project Haunted Mouths. His debut single, "Further Til We Disappear," recorded with Quinn's favorite artist and long-time friend, Copeland's Aaron Marsh, this track marks the first glimpse of a larger collection that fans will have to wait with bated breath for.
The new single is a lover letter, boasting a richness and brimming with moody, atmospheric sonics that winds throughout this dreamlike wonderland. Quinn's familiar and powerful vocals croon to the ether, "Further down the rabbit goes/ Shut my eyes, keep you close/ See if we find something here/ Further 'til we disappear."
He continues to serenade in code to the person this track is dedicated to. In the chorus, he comments on the complexity of their love, that despite the journey they have been on together, a wildness and passion still dwell in their relationship, and he promises to still be by her side as the "waves crash and swell" around them.
On writing this first track, Kellin says, "That song mentions many of my wife's favorite things and different things we share. The whole record is a love letter to her. I didn't want to make a pop album or an acoustic record. It needed to be dark, drony, haunting, but beautiful."
The forthcoming body of work, A Collection Of Greetings, out February 14, promises to show a more intimate side of Quinn's artistry, moving gracefully between lush, sparse, plaintive, and meditative production, birthed after two weeks of sessions as Quinn and Marsh worked out ideas with an astounding harmony. In addition to the rollout of his new project, Sleeping With Sirens will be hitting the road this spring with long-time friends and collaborators Pierce The Veil.
