Malcolm Todd Dives Into the Emotional Rollercoaster of Love and Heartbreak in "Chest Pain"

Multi-instrumentalist and alternative R&B, pop, and indie rising star Malcolm Todd releases his fiery new single "Chest Pain." A striking blend of vulnerability and groove, "Chest Pain" dives into the emotional rollercoaster of love and heartbreak, encapsulating the visceral ache of longing and connection.

The single hits right in the feels from the start, with Todd teasing the chorus, explaining just how much emotional pain he's in. Stuck in his loneliness, he aches for his love, wondering where they have gone. As he yearns, he croons to the void, "Please, I wanna see what we would be if you were by my side / Make me feel lonely, soon / You might not know me, I wish I could lie / But I can't deny."

Amid a collection of strings, forlorn guitar riffs, and crashing drum patterns, he does his best to weather the chest pain and bedridden state, wrestling with his "symptoms of sorrow and dread." He reflects on how everyone told him that these feelings would fade with time, yet he still loves anyway.

"It's about that bittersweet feeling of losing someone who still lingers in your heart," Malcolm shares. "I wanted the production to mirror that — smooth yet piercing, like love itself."

The track arrives on a wave of excitement, already amassing over 200K TikTok creates within days of Todd teasing a snippet across socials last week. This release follows the success of "Comfort Me" and his latest project, Two New Malcolm Todd Songs, featuring fan-favorite "You Owe Me" and the quirky "Cute Shirt (Interlude)."
