New Aesthetic Skates to New Heights in “Losing This Game” [Premiere] | The Noise

Hot off their latest release of “SPORK,” up-and-comers New Aesthetic are here to double down on their claim of being the future of pop-punk with their latest single “Losing This Game.”

Being thrown into touring at a fairly young age, New Aesthetic's new track, produced and mixed by Raul Cuellar (State Champs, NOFX, Hunny), addresses their struggle with the guilt of watching relationships with friends and family dwindle due to being away from home to focus on being in a band full-time.

As for the "Losing The Game" music video, once again directed by Nick Riggs of Champion Heart Media, the hilarious new clip feels like something out of a Tony Hawk video game as it features the emerging rockers attempting to play a game of Skate to help save their beloved hometown skatepark, keep the rights to their band, all while trying to impress a girl.

With the new single drop overall, New Aesthetic is ushering in a new era of pop-punk. The band isn't reinventing the wheel but rather fusing together the best elements of early 2000s Drive-Thru Records (The Starting Line, New Found Glory, Midtown, etc.) with the 2010’s Tumblr-era (Neck Deep, Knuckle Puck, State Champs, etc.) to create a fresh-yet-familiar sound for those already in love with the genre.

Be sure to check out the infectious new track and accompanying music video below to see if the band beats the villain, saves their community, and gets the girl. Afterward, to keep up with all things New Aesthetic—like their sold-out support tour with Hawthorne Heights—be sure to follow the band here
