PinkPantheress Conjures a Bittersweet Daydream in "Capable of Love"

UK internet superstar PinkPantheress continues to stun as she slowly launches her debut album, heaven knows, set to release November 10, with yet another single, “Capable of Love.”

Effervescent and faithfully committed to Y2K culture, PinkPantheress knows beyond all else that her strength lies in being a storyteller. She’s able to articulate the nuance of love and longing in a way many of her peers can’t capture, and “Capable of Love” is no exception. The single chronicles her attachment to someone who isn’t as invested, though it’s difficult to imagine someone immune to PinkPantheress’ allure.

Her name has held weight for quite some time, yet it’s sobering to remember she has yet to release a full-length project beyond her 2021 EP to hell with it. The single accompanies the announcement of her long-awaited album heaven knows, writing via Instagram “This album is an accumulation of music I’ve made over the last two years, with some beloved tunes that might sound familiar and some cutie features who I can’t wait to announce.”

“Capable of Love” and last month’s released single “Mosquito” have offered a taste of her artistic evolution, maturing in capability while remaining true to her niche. Her songs seem to be (thankfully) longer, yet she can’t help but be a musician plagued with infatuation and willing to bleed out loud.

As she gears up for her Camp Flog Gnaw slot, a six-date run through Europe, and supporting a leg of Olivia Rodrigo’s 'Guts' tour, PinkPantheress is only getting started. The world’s devotion to witnessing and investing in her growth does not go unnoticed, as the songstress shares “I cried the other day thinking of how lucky I am to have people willing to listen to me, you are never taken in vain.”
