PinkPantheress Delivers a Transatlantic Earworm With "Stateside"


Following her career’s biggest first week streams with “Tonight,” PinkPantheress has released the second single off her sophomore mixtape Fancy That, continuing an immersive hyper-pop world that centers British legacy.

“Stateside,” written and produced by PinkPantheress, also enlists the help of The Dare, aksel arvid, and Count Baldor, lending to PinkPantheress’ most fully realized single yet. While we still can’t get her to spill over three minutes, her progression in ability is palpable. She’s matured more deeply into herself, darkening the outline of her signature sound. 

The track is infectious and dancey, as the singer falls victim to her own transatlantic love affair. She is seemingly having the most fun yet, which is the secret to her magnetism. Her stardom exploded purely off the reigns of not taking anything too seriously, inadvertently birthing music that’s both timeless and incomparable to her peers. As her production and songwriting only evolve sonically, she solidifies her rank in the pop “it” girl hierarchy.

Referring to the track as her “favorite song off the project,” PinkPantheress shares, “It explores my growth as an artist and I hope everyone enjoys it as much as me.” PinkPantheress is a silent superstar, and Fancy That marks a promising next chapter in her takeover. The nine-track project is slated for release May 9, followed by a Residency at London’s O2 Academy Brixton this September.
