Sasha Sloan | Quick 6 Interview

Self-described "sad girl" and melancholic millennial voice Sasha Sloan is an emo pop star in the making. Taking 2018 by storm, Sloan released her breakout single "Normal," the striking debut EP sadgirl, which was soon followed up by the heartfelt sophomore outing Loser, and made a host of festival appearances at the likes of Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, and more. We had the chance to catch up with the "sad girl" herself at Lollapalooza to reveal an eighth-grade obsession with One Direction's Louis Tomlinson, the fact that she is apparently proficient in milking cows, and much more.

Having written for larger-than-life musical figures Dua Lipa, Camila Cabello, LANY, Charlie XCX, Kygo, Odesza, and more, Sloan's talent for poignant songwriting is one she has honed over the years. It is a skill she employs masterfully throughout every one of her releases, leveraging a gift for transforming the apprehensions of youth into wholly infectious meaningful pop.

If you want to experience the myriad of feelings that accompany listening to Sasha Sloan first hand, be sure to catch her on her upcoming North American tour and revisit our interview with the "sad girl" and budding pop star.
