Sawyer Hill’s latest release, “For The Hell of It,” is a captivating blend of classic rock and modern indie. The track instantly hooks listeners with an infectious melody, slinky rhythm, and Hill’s striking baritone vocals. With disco and rhythmic influences, “For The Hell of It” is, at its core, an anthemic rock track that lets the genre-bending rocker shine.

“For The Hell of It” starts off with a nostalgic nod to '90s rock, reimagined through energetic guitar riffs and bluesy lyrics. Opening the song with the chorus, Hill immediately grabs the listener’s attention with the gripping lyrics, “I will stay by your side tonight for the hell of it / Let you take all my time for the hell of it /I don’t care if we lie just a little bit.” Through the lyrics' raw honesty and Hill's passionate delivery, the track creates a captivating and immersive experience that sticks with you longer after the initial listen.

As the track approaches its bridge, the track takes a more introspective turn. “Arms wrapped all around me /Intertwined / And comfortably confined / We played our parts /Strangers with a hundred scars / Don’t need your name, I need your heart,” sings Hill, further inviting the listener to embrace the romanticism of spontaneity and the joy of the moment.

With roots in the Arkansas local music scene and having spent most of the fall on tour across audiences in North America, Hill is currently finishing his debut EP and is shaping up to become an artist you need to keep on your radar in the year to come.
