Sitting On Stacy Tap NOFX's Fat Mike For New High-Octane Single "Baby Girl" | THE NOISE

California’s Sitting On Stacy resurface with their new track “Baby Girl.” The single, the first release from their upcoming third album, sees the band team up with none other than Fat Mike of NOFX, delivering an amped-up effort that shows the band’s growth as they’ve matured alongside each other in their post-college years.

Blending elements of rock, indie, ska, and punk, "Baby Girl" is filled with pent-up, bubbling anger stewing under the surface, unleashing a new side of their artistry. Rich bass lines, raw guitar riffs, and driven percussion patterns culminate into a visceral, gut-punching chorus about heartbreak. The band's frontman, Hoyt Yeatman shared, “This song isn't holding back—it's a full-throttle breakup anthem. It's about not being able to let out your anger, feeling like you've been used and betrayed, and dealing with extreme paranoia.”

Working towards a new album, the band shares that their upcoming music has been years in the making while they’ve learned from the decades of knowledge of their mentors. The album will show the collaborative influence of Pierre Bouvier of Simple Plan, Rome Ramirez of Sublime with Rome, Fat Mike of NOFX, MisterWives, Smallpools, and more. Spanning countless genres and specialties, the creative input on Sitting On Stacy’s upcoming music has helped them to come into a sound that is distinctly their own.

"'Baby Girl' is the first single off our upcoming album," shared Yeatman. "I was pissed one day and wrote a song that is fast and crazy. We love all sorts of genres of music and never want to stick to just one however, this song goes back to our roots. It's what made us want to be in a band in the first place; making music people can mosh to. Sitting On Stacy has a bunch of new great songs to show the world. Can't wait!"

With an extensive touring history across the globe, playing everything from stadium shows to dingy basements, Sitting On Stacy is ready to get back out on the road, connecting with their fans in the way only they know how to do. In October, they will join Mustard Service for a tour run and take the stages of Austin’s infamous LEVITATION festival.
