Tatiana Hazel Pays Tribute to Her Hometown in "Hasta Que" [Premiere]

Tatiana Hazel is well on her way to becoming the next young sensation in the growing Latinx pop movement. With a sound that has us dying for a Cuco collaboration and a creative eye that has led her to design outfits for Kali Uchis, Hazel is poised to be something big. Today, we are ecstatic to premiere her new single "Hasta Que," a bilingual bop for anyone who wants to get in their feelings about the road ahead.

Hazel wrote the song as an homage to her home city of Chicago when she was making the decision to move to Los Angeles to further her music career. The lyrics “Cómo te quiero hasta que yo me muero” translate to "I'll love you until I die." Hazel disclosed that through this strong sentiment she is "speaking of my undying love for Chicago and the people in it, while I make a new life for myself in my new home, LA." With the dreamy, beachy sound of the track, you could say there was a California girl within her all along.

There is a palpable raw emotion interlaced through the song. Hazel explained that overall it is about "taking control of my life, taking risks, and following my dreams and passions so I don’t ever look back in life and think 'what if.'" Whether you are gathering the courage to pack up and move across the country, apply to a new job, or even ask someone on a date, fear and excitement for the "what ifs" are feelings we can all relate to.

If you need a soundtrack for introspection or just some light tunes for a cruise to your surf spot, "Hasta Que" has you covered. Listen below and do not sleep on this promising rising talent.
