Pop provocateur UPSAHL has made her 2024 single debut with “Summer so hot,” a banger designed for the hottest moments of the hottest season. There’s a special energy that hangs in the air when the sun is blazing, one that UPSAHL recognizes and celebrates in this spicy smash.

Recalling the track’s inception, UPSAHL shares, “I wrote it in the middle of winter in London. I was feeling nostalgic for that perfect summer day where all fucks fly out the window, you’re just being present with friends, and escaping to wherever the day takes you.” Now that those days have arrived, she’s given fans the perfect soundtrack for their most heated adventures.

“Summer so hot” contains all the components of what makes UPSAHL’s style stand out, showing off her flaming pen and badass delivery. Off the bat, her vocals travel from ear to ear to prime listeners for this rollercoaster of a track. The production seamlessly transitions back and forth from a hard hip-hop beat to a breezy pop bop, using UPSAHL’s impressively layered vocals as the driving force. Full of smart summer innuendos and raw energy, “Summer so hot” is the perfect song for sweating your problems away.

UPSAHL loves a cheeky sound effect and always finds a way to incorporate it flawlessly into the production. In “Summer so hot” there’s a crisp sound of a can opening weaved into the second verse and pre-chorus. There’s a memorable vocal distortion as the bridge transitions into one last chorus, somehow even tastier and more dynamic than before. The track has instant replay value, finding a well-earned spot in your beach playlist before it even comes to a close.

If you’re looking for the perfect song to capture the sexiness of summer, that search has come to an end. Whether you’ve been a fan of UPSAHL’s or are just now discovering her genius, “Summer so hot” is sure to be on rotation.
