As the weather continues to warm up, we find ourselves searching for the perfect songs to soundtrack the coming summer months. “Bleeding Gold,” the latest single from Wasia Project, made up of siblings Olivia Hardy and Will Gao, should definitely be added to your summer 2026 playlist.

“Bleeding Gold” opens with Hardy’s layered vocals, creating a floaty, hazy effect before a steady drum grounds the song. The verse’s instrumentation is kept simple, allowing Hardy’s vocals to take center stage. As the song continues into the pre-chorus and chorus, everything builds together, making it impossible to not at the very least tap your foot along as Hardy sings “And now I’m running down the back road / It’s just one foot at a time / I’ll see you here tomorrow, but I’m leaving for tonight / I’m running back like it’s the only road I’ve ever left behind / And I won’t let the feeling go / As long as I’m alive, I’m running.” The energy of the final chorus carries throughout the end of the song, creating the perfect soundtrack for running through an open field on a warm summer night.

The single’s release came alongside the announcement of the duo’s debut album, Nocturne, set for release on September 18th. Wasia Project shared with fans some details on the album, writing, “This has been a long time coming. Ever since we started making music, our dream has been to one day make an album of work. And this day has finally come. This was a challenging process to undergo and it took us most of last year…But we have come through with a piece of work we are both super proud with. And we feel this new work is a representation of who we are now.”
