Watch Gully Boys Rough Up Motion City Soundtrack's Justin Courtney Pierre For New "Love Me 2" Video | THE NOISE

With a unique blend of vengeance and a newly single glow, Minneapolis' Gully Boys weave anger and tenderness into "Love Me 2," their own Gully-fied version of a breakup anthem. This fierce soundtrack is for those who dare to demand emotional maturity and mutual respect. It arrives just a week before the four-piece embarks on a tour with Skating Polly.

The track opens with sharp riffs, anthemic hooks, and gut-punching sincerity to convey its message with unflinching conviction and confidence. Lead singer and guitarist Kathy Callahan (she/her) bites back on the opening verse, singing, "I take a nibble/ you take the rest/ Did you get filled up babe?/ Again?/ Let up off it/ give us some space/didn't mean forever/ but I'm running out of grace." As the song continues, it cuts deep, tapping into the universal feeling of heartbreak while remaining quintessentially and galvanizingly Gully.

The accompanying music video is a cinematic must-see that follows the band as they rob a grocery store. Justin Courtney Pierre of Motion City Soundtrack also cameos as an unknowing and unlucky grocer who encounters the Gully Boys squad on a mission to reclaim their power. At the same time, a bounty hunter is hot on their trail and won't rest until they see the rascals behind bars.

"Love Me 2" is the latest in a series of singles and EP's Gully Boys have released in recent years. Formed in 2016 by thrift shop co-workers Callahan and drummer Nadirah McGill (they/them), they would be joined by bassist Natalie Klemond (she/her). After gigging around Minneapolis, they welcomed guitarist Mariah Mercedes (they/them). Since then, they've played at SXSW and shared stages with Nova Twins, Motion City Soundtrack, and Destroy Boys.
