Forged by the sounds of giants like Beastie Boys and brimming with ‘90s references that span the likes of Mortal Kombat, Nike Airs, to Super Mario, Joey Valence & Brae are bringing back a sound that is equal parts nostalgic and infectious. The larger-than-life MCs’ sound, which is all produced in Joey’s home bedroom, has quickly found a foothold amongst indie hip-hop stalwarts and Gen Z fans alike, earning them festival spots and major TikTok traction in less than a year.
