Winona Fighter Go One Take Straight To Your Heart With New "Hamms In A Glass" Video | THE NOISE

Emerging rockers Winona Fighter are excited to share the brand new music video for their hit single, “HAMMS IN A GLASS,” taken from their upcoming debut album MY APOLOGIES TO THE CHEF, out February 14.

The band hits the ground running with racing percussion, angsty guitar riffs, and thrumming bass lines, launching the listener into a sonic chaos tornado; yes, that's a professional term. Frontwoman and multi-instrumentalist Coco Kinnon's vocals break out from the storm brewing, lamenting, "Got pulled over, and I'm getting closer to blowing my fucking brains/ Out of money/ Ain't it lovely to do the same old thing." Across the track, she struggles under the heavy financial strain the repetition of the capitalistic lifestyle has caused, calling us to stop playing the game and "sharpen knives."

The accompanying music video matches the frantic energy of the track, following the band as they distressingly navigate the halls of a neon-lit house. "The 'HAMMS IN A GLASS' music video is as chaotic as the song," shares Kinnon. "It is completely one take and was totally a "fly by the seat of our pants" type shoot. Jake Johnston over at We're All Gonna Die did such an amazing job at directing on the fly as we were pretty much trying something different with each take."

She continues: "Something extremely special about this music video is that it feels like a call back to our first and only music video we made before singing to Rise' You Look Like A Drunk Phoebe Bridgers'- a one take video, which was done with pretty much pocket change. It was so cool being able to elevate the concept while still keeping it flexible and fun."

The new single will feature on the band's upcoming debut album alongside standout tracks like "IM IN THE MARKET TO PLEASE NO ONE," "Swear To God That I'm (FINE)," and "ATTENTION." The latter track is an emotionally charged single that packs a punch from the start with blaring guitar riffs, thrumming bass lines, and crashing percussion plowing through the production.
