10 of Our Favorite Billie Eilish Moments

March 29, 2019 is a day that will live in infamy. Why you ask? Well, because Billie Eilish's long-awaited debut album is here of course. WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?, otherwise known as quite possibly the most-anticipated album of 2019, is finally available for our listening pleasure. And let us tell you, it is a masterpiece. Featuring production and writing from Eilish's brother and day one collaborator FINNEAS, WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? is set to go down as one of the best albums of 2019, hands down.

We have had the pleasure of following Eilish's journey as an artist since the very beginning, and we could not think of a better way to celebrate the release of WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? then by highlighting ten of our favorite Billie Eilish moments  that we have captured over the years. Enjoy.

1. The First Time We Championed Eilish as One to Watch

Back in 2016, Eilish may have only had two tracks to her name, "Six Feet Under" and "Ocean Eyes," but we were already listing her as an artist to watch out for in the year to come. Ranking the yet-to-be-discovered pop phenom alongside acts like Dua Lipa, Maggie Rogers, and Jorja Smith, it is safe to say that Eilish has lived up to her early promise in spades.

2.  Sitting Down With a 15-year-old Eilish for an Interview at SXSW

"What's so great about being an artist is that I can just take all of the anger and all of the longing and despair, and I can just write it down and sing it," was one of many profound insights we gained from a 15-year-old Eilish when we spoke to her at SXSW. That and a noted appreciation for late rapper XXXTENTACION are just a couple of the many reasons we grew to love Eilish as both a person and an artist over the years.

3. Discovering She Is Also a Beast Behind a Polaroid Camera

Eilish's gift for music is no secret, but we had no idea the same could be said of her talent with a camera. At least that was the case until we premiered her brother FINNEAS' single "I'm in Love Without You," which was accompanied by a polaroid gallery taken by the little sister herself.

4. Learning Every Little Thing About the Creation of "Ocean Eyes"

When it comes to Eilish and her music, it is impossible not to mention her brother FINNEAS who has worked alongside her since the very beginning, all while finding the time to pen his own beautiful work. And it was "Ocean Eyes," co-written by FINNEAS that initially made Eilish a worldwide sensation, so getting the chance to sit with FINNEAS about dive into how the track came to be was certainly one hell of a time.

5. When FINNEAS Told Us About His Sister's Weird Obsession With Beans

Speaking on FINNEAS and interesting things he has shared with us over the years, how could we not include our Quick 6 interview with him where he let us in on a few ridiculous facts about him and his sister?

6. When She Showed Off Her A+ Dance Moves

2018's Lollapalooza brought with it a lot of memorable moments, a handful of those were courtesy of Eilish herself. Making a quick cameo during FINNEAS' Ones To Watch Instagram takeover, she showed off the best possible way to prepare for an interview, launching into an orange justice.

7. Catching Her Lollapalooza Set Front-and-Center

Lollapalooza 2018 had more than its fair share of amazing performances, and one in particular that we still cannot believe we were able to catch from the very front row was Eilish's. Featuring her brother FINNEAS and a surprise guest appearance from KHALID, it is a festival set that we will not be forgetting anytime soon.

8. Wishing Her a Speedy Recovery Right After That Lollapalooza Set

With that being said, all amazing sets must come to an end and Eilish's Lollapalooza set certainly came to an end quite like no other on the tour. Taking the phrase "break a leg" to heart, the pop phenom broke her ankle during her Lollapalooza set yet still managed to champion on till the end. Don't worry; we were there to wish her a quick recovery alongside Jaden Smith and Harry Hudson.

9. Inviting Her Brother Out for a Magical Night

One of our favorite things to do here at Ones To Watch is showcase up-and-coming talent, especially when that up-and-coming talent had a huge hand in the making of  WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?. We had the pleasure of inviting FINNEAS out for a magical night where he serenaded us with a live rendition of "Let's Fall in Love for the Night." As an added bonus, eagle-eyed viewers can spot an Eilish cameo during our exclusive Conan Gray performance and interview.

10. Predicting the Future of This Pop Star

Ever since the days of when Eilish had less than a handful of singles to her name, we have championed this wunderkind as the very future of pop. Even now, we are certain that of this young artist's continued evolution in the music world, and that is exactly why we placed her at the top of our list of artists likely to be nominated for "Best New Artist" at the 2020 Grammy Awards.
