If your ears have never been blessed with Rhye's miraculous falsetto, then you're most definitely in for a treat with his orgasmic new single, "Needed." Fronted by Canadian singer-songwriter Mike Milosh, Rhye is an R&B project that seeks to evoke any type of emotion from listeners when they indulge in such ethereal musical stylings. Ahead of his forthcoming eight-track piano project, Spirit, Rhye is treating us to a generous preview with the intoxicating "Needed."

"Needed" opens with the atmospheric piano soundscape that Rhye has only recently rediscovered his love for and eventually trails into his undeniably captivating vocals. Crafted by Rhye and Dan Wilson (Semisonic, Adele), "Needed" encourages a surreal musical experience through subtle bass lines, delicate pianos, chic tambourines, and steady clapping. Written about purpose, "Needed" introduces us to Rhye's personal experiences with love as he stresses his desire to be needed by someone he loves – a theme we expect to hear more about in his upcoming piano project, Spirit.

On "Needed," Rhye reflected,

"'Needed' is a song about something greater than wanting someone in your life, or to be wanted, or liked or loved. It's about that deeper yearning to be needed by someone you love, to feel that sense of purpose. Maybe we don't all feel that, but for those who do, I can only hope that this song touches you all."
