almost monday Are Letting The Good Times Roll in "enjoy the ride"

San Diego indie-pop band almost monday are keeping the good vibes rolling with their vibrant new single, "enjoy the ride." Known for their summery melodies and kinetic live performances, the band delivers another anthem perfect for the dog days of summer drives. This single is a powerful reminder to let go of the pressure to have everything figured out and instead stay present, spreading a message of positivity and hope.

The single opens with a whimsical chorus of "la-la-las" with the band's signature sound blending with layers of shimmering synths, sun-drenched guitar riffs, and punchy basslines. Lead singer Dawson Daugherty's raspy, fuzzed-out vocals croon over the quasi-psychedelic soundscape, "I've got my head in the clouds and my mind on repeat/ Here comes a wave rushing in, sweep me right off my feet/ I hear a voice so loud coming out from the deep/ It's gonna be alright, if you know what I mean." Over the verses, he and his bandmates craft imagery of sun-saoked gardens and days filled without worry, leading to a dance-inducing hook that remind to, as the title suggests, "enjoy the ride."

"'enjoy the ride' is a song about anxiety and trying to confront the things you fear," shared Daugherty. "It's a reminder to ourselves to hold on to the beauty in life, even when things feel like they are spinning out of control." The band added about the track, "Wrote this song a few weeks ago and felt like it wasn't summer, if almost monday wasn't dropping a song."

The accompanying music video, directed by Sam Kristofski and produced by Kevin Clark, is an equally infectious visual full of bold colors and dynamic animation that add to the electro reggae sonics of the track.

The band has been riding high all summer, hitting major festivals such as MAD COOL Festival, Lollapalooza Berlin, Pinkpop Festival, Rock Werchter, Lollapalooza Paris, with their final summer stop at Outside Lands Festival. After a sold-out debut headline tour across the U.S. and Europe, the band will join The Band CAMINO on The NeverAlways Tour, kicking off October 10 in Atlanta and hitting major cities including Brooklyn, Los Angeles, and Nashville.
