Idle rocking chairs are somehow moving on their own, skittering can be heard down the hallway, and spiders are creeping around and making their presence known. The day we have been waiting for is finally here. Halloween is now in full effect and the world was visited by the spirit of Ava Max in the form of a new video for her single "Freaking Me Out."

"Freaking Me Out" is a spooky season - themed pop love ballad in which Ava Max is declaring a newly developed infatuation to be so scary and overwhelming that it's sending her in a full-blown panic. "Freaking Me Out" dropped earlier this summer alongside "Blood, Sweat, and Tears" and both of them received a glimmering amount of critical appraisal from the likes of TIME, Billboard, MTV News, and Rolling Stone, on top of a generous amount of love from her fans, better known as Avatars.

Ava Max was nominated for "Best New Artist" at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards and currently holds a nomination for "Best New Artist" at the MTV European Music Awards. The eclectic pop star is no stranger to the fame as her first-ever breakout single "Sweet But Psycho" has amassed over a billion streams (and counting!) and earned her a Teen Choice Awards nomination for "Choice Pop Song," the number one spot on Spotify's "United States Viral 50," the number one spot on Billboard’s "Dance Club Songs," and maintained a   number one ranking across music charts in over 20 countries. Ava Max has the world at her fingertips and us at the edge of seats.
