J.M3 Is Offering Hot Sauce to Get You Through a Dull Day
Imagine you are taking a subway packed with people during peak hours, and you take out your AirPods just want to escape from all the noises. No matter how you go through the playlist, your bad temper stops you from choosing the perfect tune. At this moment, what you need is “Hot Sauce” by the rising hyphenate J.M3 (pronounced as Jamie).
Started her music career as an indie artist back in 2017, J.M3 is fiery, inventive, and playful, as evident in her appearance and songs. Not wishing to be limited by language, she joined SingVoice 2021, a music talent search show intended to find and develop promising Mandodpop singer-songwriters in Singapore, where she showed her bilingual abilities with her track “Lady” and entered the top 10 finalist placement. As one of the few female rappers in the local music scene, J.M3 is petite but very powerful. Under her rebellious spirit, she is equipped with all-around abilities – rapping, composing, dancing, and acting.
As the song title implies, her debut single “Hot Sauce” is a spicy and blunt, self-empowerment pop-rap anthem. J.M3 delivers her forceful verses in both Mandarin and English, showcasing a smooth, relaxing flow and lyrical wit. She fiercely sings, “I'm making hot sauce / I’m reppin’ my cause / You don’t wanna be the one who’s breaking my laws.” With the track’s deep bass, her verses demonstrate a fearless spirit and unleash strong woman power.
J.M3 is preparing a series of singles leading up to an as-yet-titled EP in early 2023. Hold on or you will get lost in her rapid-fire verses.
