re6ce Returns With the Electrifying, Racing “i don’t even own prada shoes lol”

18-year-old Liverpool artist re6ce continues to emerge as a symbol of inspiration for an era of young, rising, DIY-centric internet-era artists with their new single, "i don't even own prada shoes lol." Bolstered with intricate soundscapes and mesmerizing production, the single is a dynamic effort that shows the rising star’s continued ability to push the boundaries of their artistry.

The single opens with pulsing synths and thumping percussion patterns, cueing in the singer's airy, enigmatic vocals. They croon over the track, "You wanna try?/ And out of anybody, you met me inside, alright / You wanna die? / Smoking outside with a girl who I don't know at all." They let us in on their dwindling state of mind and patience but tells themself, "it's fine," as they try to deal with everyone staring at them before launching into the track's explosive chorus. The dance-inducing hook ups the ante with high-octane beats, synths, crashing high hats, and edgy guitar riffs swirling together to create an all-consuming sonic experience.

The accompanying music video, shot and edited by Hasan Taleb, follows re6ce as they traverse Europe with their team. Spliced footage of re6ce performing night after night intercuts scenes of what they experience in each city they visit, creating a visual experience that sparks both joy and a need for adventure.

Building on the success of their previous single, “brown eyes*,” re6ce's new single is a testament to their growing popularity. With over 11K pre-saves and a staggering 5M+ views on Instagram reels, it's clear that re6ce's music is resonating with a wide audience.
