Skyte Cuts Class and Runs Free in “IHATESCHOOL”

We don’t mean to pile on those burrowing out of their holiday slumbers, especially you bright-minded youths who are off to educational settings, but sometimes the music requires comeuppance. Skyte is a product of NYC by birth and Atlanta from grade school onwards, and his eclectic, vibe-forward sound bears the diverse sonic curriculum those cities foster. Pioneering a DIY sound, because like most young artists, Skyte, born Cameron McEachern, didn’t have the means to do it any other way; he is a one-man creative prodigy, producing and writing his own music and when needed, directing his own visuals.

His you can’t hold me back work ethic clearly doesn’t square with the standard curriculum as his latest single "IHATESCHOOL" attests. “IHATESCHOOL” is a fast-paced, action-focused melodic rant on the litany of reasons he can’t stay cool with pedagogical requirements laid over a beat that spells cutting class, hopping the fence, and coasting off to greener pastures. It's short, fast, and dynamic, much like all of his work, and as he continues to educate us on his sound, he is on his way to graduating to the big leagues.
