Oklahoma City four-piece some fear, known for their unique blend of indie rock and introspective lyricism, led by Branden "Bran" Palesano, celebrate the announcement of their self-titled debut album, some fear, with the release of their latest single, "Skin I Can't Peel." The sauntering but crushing track is a meditation of leaving the past behind in favor of the present but with the knowledge of common history in mind.

Guitar riffs unfurl across the track as they navigate their feelings and try to find the right words to express themselves. Devasting instrumentation swirls around poignant lyricism, creating an experience that hits deep in the soul. Growing up, or in this case, peeling back the skin of our old selves, can be difficult, but some fear reminds us that we don't have to do it alone.

"'Skin I Can't Peel' is a song I wrote about meeting someone where they're at in life, regardless of your common past," bandleader Palesano explained in a statement. "It's about accepting, growing, and realizing we all change as we grow older and shed our old skin."

The new release arrives after last month's insomnia-inspired single, "Worm." The first preview of their imminent debut record, out January 16, the track introduced this new, fine-tuned era of the band. Together, these recent singles showcase how some fear are more locked in than ever, ready and eager to embark into a hazy universe of longing, loss, and loneliness.
