Los Angeles-based, by way of Seattle, musician Mark Diamond has an impeccable sense for impactful songwriting. Following getting kicked out of college and working as a barista, Diamond decided to pursue his long-held passion of becoming an artist, independently recording and producing all of his own music. It was this zealous passion, backed by an innate talent for songweaving, that led the independent artist to leave the coffee-brewing life behind, racking up over two-million listeners on Spotify and sign with Pearl Jam's Stardog Records and Republic Records.

Today, sees Diamond releasing his debut single since signing with Stardog and Republic and let us tell you, it is one hell of a way to kick off the new year. "Steady" is a veritable force to be reckoned with. Diamond's enveloping vocals make up a track that feels remarkably lush and expansive, opening up the first chapter in what is bound to be the artist's storied career. And while "Steady" marks Diamond's first single since signing, it is a brilliant demonstration of the work he has put into his artistry over the years. There is an insatiable driving force behind every moment of this bustling track - one that does not ease up until it reaches its all too satisfying conclusion.

Diamond was kind enough to speak on bringing "Steady" to life, sharing,

"We were actually working on starting a different song when we got side tracked and made 'Steady.' That happens a lot. This song was written, tracked and produced all in one night. There is no better feeling than finishing a record that quick. It takes away having to overthink or doubt certain melodies and lyrics. We got back into the studio the next day, had a quick listen and started the next. 'Steady,' along with the others, we let come naturally. Also, just the overall energy this song brought into the studio was one I can't personally explain."

With its captivating display of Diamond's vocal range and striking sense for songwriting acumen, "Steady" signifies not only an impeccable single but a remarkable introduction to the promising world of Mark Diamond.
