In this bad-to-the-bone track, White touches on the complications of juggling responsibilities with an immature perspective, only to succumb to procrastination. White makes this utterly clear in the hook, during which we are thrown into a troublesome argument of want and need.
White spoke further on "2maro," sharing,
"It felt almost like being offset by depression but blaming laziness. Time flew and I stayed the same distance in between what I needed to be doing and what I wanted to be doing while both grew further apart from each other. Hence why the hook battles between 'I want. No! I need.'"
