Daisy Grenade Team Up With The Maine On Fiery Single "Liquor And Kerosene" | THE NOISE

Rising pop-punk darlings Daisy Grenade team up with The Maine's John O'Callaghan on their latest single "Liquor and Kerosene." A soaring pop-rock ballad set in the idyllic hills of California, the track tells the sickly-sweet story of a relationship on the rocks, drenched in turmoil and, as the title suggests, liquor (and kerosene).

Opening with a warm collection of guitar riffs, bass lines, and catchy percussion, the duo sings, "Falling down forever/Drowning under pressure/Feeling nothing without you. The melancholy tone then shifts gears and catapults the listener into a swelling chorus fueled with thrilling guitar riffs and soaring vocals. O'Callaghan's voice fits seamlessly within the tight three-part harmonies while adding his own flare and perspectives lyrically in his verse. His counterpoint creates an intense narrative back and forth, lilting and lifting the song to a frenzied culmination.

The accompanying music video shows the duo performing the track while on tour with The Maine. Lead vocalist John O'Callaghan joined the two onstage to offer his sultry vocals to a verse and chorus. "We had the time of our lives performing this song with John on their Sweet Sixteen tour & can't wait to share the whole thing very soon."

Though Daisy Grenade opened up for The Maine during their winter 2023 tour, their shows together are far from over. Beginning on February 28, both bands are opening the show for Fall Out Boy on select dates of the So Much For (2our) Dust run with Jimmy Eat World. Other Fall Out Boy dates include support from Hot Mulligan, Games We Play, and Carr. On top of that, you can catch the band at When We Were Young Fest 2024 in October.
