Scary Kids Scaring Kids & Underoath’s Spencer Chamberlain Go Nintendo For New “Omens” Video | The Noise

With so much happening this year in the world of music, entertainment, and pop culture – hell, just look at the past couple weeks – it’s easy to forget about some of the great records that dropped back in say... May.

Yes, just a mere four months back, listeners were graced with the triumphant return of Arizona post-hardcore darlings, Scary Kids Scaring Kids.

Titled Out of Light, remaining members Chad Crawford and Pouyan Afkary constructed a marvelous, moody, almost-mixtape-like release featuring twelve emotive tracks all featuring special guest vocalists in place of the late Tyson Stevens.

One of the standout songs, starring none other than Underoath’s Spencer Chamberlain, is the pulsating single “Omens.”

Displaying his one-of-a-kind vocal style over powerful instrumentation, Chamberlain, along with Crawford and Afkary, ebb and flow together in what feels like a violent volcano just seconds away from erupting.

To check out this emotion firsthand via the band's nostalgic Nintendo-influenced video, premiering exclusively with The Noise, be sure to look below. Afterward, make sure to grab a copy of Out of Light here.
